The story of the farm is fittingly, a tale of evolution. What began as an opportunity to expand our horticultural knowledge has grown into a full time agricultural experiment. Our first foray into vegetable growing began in a twelve bed potager with lettuce, herbs and a selection of summer produce. As our interest in edible gardening grew along with our desire to become more food independent, we began to expand our growing season and our growing space. We now produce most of the fresh vegetables we consume and with some ingenuity and a lot of old fashioned preservation methods, our garden yield is sufficient to serve us well during the cold winter months.
In 2011, we started a small scale CSA with the enthusiastic support of some wonderful folk. As we continue to expand our production, we hope to offer fresh produce and other farm products here at the farm. Crops of particular note include garlic, shallots, potatoes, squash, pumpkins, tomatillos and heirloom tomatoes. Please contact us for more information.
